Perhaps this question has crossed your mind as you read news accounts, or walked across a deserted parking lot to your car after working late: Could I defend myself against an attacker? In an uncertain world, more of us want to gain self-defense skills. AWC Springfield is offering this opportunity to prepare for the unexpected. Join us for a two-hour workshop with Thomas Altevogt, Ret. Marine Gunnery Sergeant, CKM Certified Instructor.

Using real-life scenarios, learn about situational awareness, your personal security profile, and methods to disarm an attacker. No matter your size, age or fitness level, you can learn how to protect yourself against an attacker.

The workshop will be held from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. on March 14 at the
Memorial Center for Learning and Innovation (MCLI)

Curtis Theatre Classroom, Room 2 A. The public is invited. Cost is $20 per person and $10 for students. If you pay at the door on the day of the event, you will be charged an additional $5 fee.
