Announces 2006 Clarion Awards Competition
34th Call for Entries
ALEXANDRIA, VA – The Association for Women in Communications’ 2006 Clarion Awards Competition has begun. Clarion Awards are highly sought after by both women and men in the communications industry, as past winners have attested:

In its 34th year, the Clarion program honors excellence in 149 categories across all communications disciplines, including advertising & marketing, audiovisual productions, books & CDs, brochures, custom & special publications, education, film, fund development, magazines, major news events, newsletters, newspapers, online media, photography, graphics & design communications, public relations, radio and television.
Named for the medieval trumpet known for its clarity, the Clarion Awards symbolize excellence in clear, concise communications. Clarion winners represent media companies large and small, leading corporations, small businesses, and nonprofit associations and institutions. Judges base their selections on substance, style, originality and achievement of objective, choosing one winner in each category.
AWC will accept Early Bird entries at a special rate - $60 for members, $30 for member students, $80 for nonmembers, $45 for nonmember students (entries must be received by Feb. 13, 2006). Entries received between Feb. 14, 2006, and April 3, 2006, the final deadline, pay a standard entry fee - $75 for members, $30 for member students; $110 for nonmembers, $45 for nonmember students (entries received after April 3, 2006, will be ineligible).
