The Association for Women in Communications Elects New Members to 2004 Board of Directors
The Association for Women in Communications welcomes four new members to its board of directors. Joining the board are Linda Haneborg, Cindy Wallace, Betty Prilliman and Margo Berman.
Linda Haneborg, International Vice President of Marketing/Communications for Express Personnel Services, oversees corporate communications, advertising, public relations, marketing services, special events and media relations for more than 400 Express Personnel offices worldwide. She is a member of the Oklahoma City Professional Chapter.
Cindy Wallace has provided communications support for more than 20 years for Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio, Texas, the largest independent not-for-profit automotive research facility in the world. She is a member of the San Antonio Professional Chapter.
Betty Prilliman, managing principal of Word Smith, has been a contract technical writer and editor for more than 16 years, specializing in data sheets, websites, user manuals and brochures. She is a member of the Dallas Professional Chapter.
Margo Berman is a creativity and marketing expert with more than 20 years experience. She is an associate professor at Florida International University teaching creative courses in advertising, public relations and integrated communication; and as a member of the National Speakers Association, is a corporate trainer. She is a member of the Atlantic-Florida Professional Chapter.
Board officers are Chair Lin Berryman, Seattle Professional Chapter member and project manager, Premera Blue Cross, Seattle; Secretary Jennifer Lester, Denver Professional Chapter member and co-founder of Philosophy Communication, Inc., Denver; Treasurer Lynn Osborne, Washington, DC Professional Chapter member and President of Ad Management Insights, LLC, Arlington, Va..
Mary Ann Edwards has been elected the new Vice-Chair, replacing Marty Branham of the Tulsa Professional Chapter. Edwards has owned Word Publications in Lubbock, Texas for 21 years and has 35 years experience in marketing specialty publications. She is a member of the Lubbock, Texas Professional Chapter.
Other board members are Andrea Hawkins, Dallas Professional Chapter member and marketing/public information manager for the City of Dallas Park and Recreation Department; Rita Cosby, Washington, DC Professional Chapter member and anchor for FOX News Channels; Naomi Greene, Springfield, Ill. Professional Chapter member and division administrator, Public Service and Communication, Illinois State Board of Education; and Lois Todd, Denver Professional Chapter member and president of The Siddhi Group, Denver.
