Since 1997, BookWorks has offered full publishing, marketing and consulting services to individuals and organizations looking to increase their visibility and revenues with professional quality articles and books.

Pola Firestone, owner, was a marketing director for Kansas City architectural firms and a teacher in public and private schools. She graduated from Avila College with a Bachelor of Arts in Special Education and received her Master of Science degree in Special Education from Kansas State University.

Firestone serves as marketing consultant to the Small Business Development Center at Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, KS. She is an instructor of entrepreneurship at Donnelly College in Kansas City, KS., and a business counselor for the First Step Fund in Kansas City, Mo. Firestone enjoys helping individuals share their knowledge and enhance their careers through writing and publishing.
