Kerri Fivecoat-Campbell is an award-winning freelance writer in the Kansas City area. Her clips include The Kansas City Star, Entrepreneur, Women in Business, Fate, Today’s Collector, Kansas! and The World & I Online. She is a pet columnist for The Best Times and a contributing editor for Discover Mid-America.

Kerri is a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors, the Society of Professional Journalists and the Ozark Writer’s League.

Her awards include honors from Writer’s Digest, The Heart of America Journalism Awards, National Association of Hispanic Publications and the Kansas City Association of Black Journalists.

She enjoys teaching through Johnson County Community College and she has been invited to conduct a workshop at SPJ’s 2006 National Conference in Chicago. Her book, No Immediate Threat: The Story of an American Veteran, is a narrative of her brother's life after the Vietnam War. Her website is www.writeforyou.biz.
