Bettye Zoller Seitz
Audiobook Author & Audio Coach

Panelist, "You've Written Your Book, Now What? Publishing and Marketing Your Work"

Bettye Zoller Seitz (nee Volkart) was born in Kansas City and lived and worked in KC for three decades. She attended Shawnee Mission East High School and the University of Missouri at Kansas City. She was associate editor of The Plaza Magazine and staff writer for several papers from Sun Publications.

For eight years, she owned a corporation that published audio books, books, and corporate training materials, serving clients including SBC, Guaranty Bank, and Frontier Telecommunications. Several of her firm’s creations (nonfiction) were best-sellers, featured selections of The Audio Book Club. The audio, “Commercial$peak,” (how to work in the lucrative radio-TV broadcasting field) won the coveted “Audie Award” as “Best Educational Audio in the U.S." in 2002.

“I learned the book business the hard way – by making mistakes. That’s why, as a consultant to authors, I have value. I know the “wrong way” and can advise clients how to avoid pitfalls. I also learned how self-publishing can lead to selling world rights, having best-sellers, getting signed by major publishers, making your mark. You’ve proven yourself! I’m a big fan of self-publishing if it’s done the right way!” Her publication, “Sell Your Expertise on Audio,” encourages experts and consultants in every field to create audio titles. “It is the greatest way to advertise yourself and your business whether you give the audio away or sell it. We live in a ‘talking world.’”

Zoller Seitz owns and is an audio engineer in her recording studio, Voicesvoices.com, in Dallas. She specializes in audio book creations and consults a wide variety of clients there. She is also known for teaching a popular adult education workshop, “Bring Out The Book In You.”

Her audio book, Speaking Effective English, with a foreword by TV and film star Edward Asner, published by Simon and Schuster, is being re-released by S & S on their winter 2007 front list on CDs. She currently is creating new nonfiction audio titles for a new series entitled, “Mastering Brilliance” for a NYC publishing house.

She is a voiceover professional who narrates videos, films, audio books, and commercials for clients worldwide. Visit www.voicesvoices.com to read more. She will have her popular titles and her catalogue at the AWC conference.
