First Amendment Rights

Since 1909, The Association for Women in Communications has been guided by the following principles:
  • to promote the advancement of women in all fields of communications,
  • to work for the First Amendment rights and responsibilities of communicators,
  • to recognize distinguished professional standards throughout the communications industry.

Freedom of Information (FOI) Issues
The FirstAmendmentCenter works to preserve and protect First Amendment freedoms through information and education. The center serves as a forum for the study and exploration of free-expression issues, including freedom of speech, of the press and of religion, and the rights to assemble and to petition the government.

The First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States.
